Our Minii Mountain Bike Skills Clinics are designed to help you master key techniques and obstacles with a progressive, skill-level-based approach. Each clinic focuses on one essential element at a time, allowing you to learn, practice, and refine in a way that builds confidence, control, and safety on the trails. With a detailed curriculum and hands-on instruction, these half-day clinics are the perfect way to boost your mountain biking skills and enjoyment on the trails.

 

Whether you're looking to strengthen your foundations, perfect your cornering, or tackle advanced challenges like drops and technical features, there's a clinic for you. Read on below for more details on each Clinic.

We suggest completing a whole series before progressing.

  • Beginner level riders: Follow the 100 series clinics 

  • Intermediate level riders: Follow the 200 series clinics 

  • Advanced level riders: Follow the 200 and 300 series clinics

MTB Foundations

Ready to build a rock-solid foundation for your mountain biking journey? Our MTB Foundations Clinics are designed to equip you with the essential skills every rider needs to feel confident, in control, and safe on the trails. Whether you're starting fresh or looking to refine the basics, these clinics set the stage for further progression.

 

  • MTB Foundations Clinic 101: Learn mountain biking basics, including various body positions and what terrain to apply them, braking techniques to control speed, skid less and become comfortable with the front brake, gear selection for efficient pedalling on various terrain and smooth shifting. 

  • MTB Foundations Clinic 102: Elevate your skills by improving how and what to look for on the trail to be more proactive in your riding and make better decisions, techniques for efficient and comfortable climbing, and confident and controlled descending.

  • MTB Foundations Clinic 103: Tackle the details that make a difference, from safely dismounting and remounting your bike on the trail to understanding how to "pick a line" and practicing good trail etiquette.

Wheel Lifts

Elevate your riding skills to smoothly float over roots, rocks, and obstacles as the trails get more challenging by learning the techniques and timing of various wheel lifts for greater precision and control.

 

  • Wheel Lifts Clinic 101: Learn how to lift your front and rear wheels, timing for small obstacles, and combine the techniques to navigate trails smoothly.

  • Wheel Lifts Clinic 201: Expand your toolkit and tackle new challenges on diverse terrain with additional types of wheel lifts, such as level lifts, bunnyhops, and pedalling wheel lifts.

  • Wheel Lifts Clinic 301: Refine and challenge your techniques to apply them to advanced trails, as well as man-made and uphill obstacles, with finesse and flow.

Cornering

Learn to carve with confidence! Our Cornering Clinics teach proper body positioning, line choice, and various techniques to navigate every type of turn, whether fast and flowing or slow and technical, with control and precision.

  • Cornering Clinic 101: Build a strong cornering foundation with body positioning, trail scanning, and line choice for both fast and slow and tight turns.

  • Cornering Clinic 201: Refine your cornering skills with better braking techniques, speed management, leaning for faster corners, and techniques for improved slow-speed handling. 

  • Cornering Clinic 301: Take on advanced techniques for high-speed turns such as rotation, foot position and line choice, and learn how to conquer even the tighest switchback.

Jumping

Ready to catch some air?! Our Jump Clinics are the perfect launchpad and guide you step by step through the techniques you need to safely and smoothly get airborne, progress to bigger features and be ready for jumps on the trail. Take flight with confidence!

  • Jumping Clinic 201: Start small in a controlled environment, focusing on body positioning, timing, and smooth takeoffs and landings using our specialty ramps.

  • Jumping Clinic 301: Ready to soar? Progress to larger jumps and practice applying your refined technique to actual trail features.

Drops

Develop the skills and confidence to handle drops of varying sizes, approaches and landing (up to 3') with precision and control. Our Drop Clinics focus on technique and gradual progression to help you tackle features safely. Let's drop it like it's hot!

  • Drops Clinic 101: Start with the basics, mastering roll-downs and small drops with proper body positioning and technique for smooth, controlled landings.

  • Drops Clinic 201: Learn to handle various approaches, landings, and sizes (up to 3') while refining your technique.

Technical MTB Skills

Build your confidence and control on advanced trails with specialized skills clinics focusing on balance and slow speed skills to improve precision, control and navigating technical terrain. Perfect for mountain bikers looking to conquer advanced trails and features and refine their riding skills.

  • Slow Speed Skills Clinic 201/301: Learn essential slow-speed mountain biking techniques like trackstands, ratcheting, wheel weaving, and riding skinnies to gain the balance and control needed for tight, tricky situations.

  • Technical Riding Toolkit Clinic 201/301: Master advanced mountain biking skills, including choosing the best lines, sessioning tricky trail sections, and handling technical climbs and descents with ease.

What past Riders   have to say.... 

I've been riding for many years, even doing some advanced stuff, but the coaches showed me how to do things that I was never able to do (or at least, do well, or fast!). The afternoon spent sessioning & riding the trails with Charlotte proved just how awesome the skill learning was! Cleared some gnarly stuff with focus and confidence, and felt amazing with my progress! I'm very happy that I signed up for the 1-day skills sessions, and I'm looking forward to doing another later in the season to hone my skills even more! I would 100% recommend it for new and advanced riders.

Drove 2 hours to take part in a one day MTB course, and it was well worth it. Solid coaching, with a focus on fundamentals that will, with practice, yield efficient and safe riding and an improved skillset. The coaches were knowledgeable, approachable, and the other riders were friendly and positive. It was like riding with friends, even though we'd only just met. Fond memories and I will likely return to take part again.
